Hebrews 10:35-39 So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. (another translation says, "Do not throw away your confidence.) Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
“For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”
But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.
This scripture was given to a friend when she was going through a very tough time in her life. I think we all need to to “Not throw away our confidence.” We all have had situations in our lives where we want to give up and go hide our heads in the sand. (I prefer hiding under the blankets.) But we must persevere. We have to follow through with the will of God. He promises so much for the one who lives by faith.
He is not happy with the one who turns away from Him.
So keep pressing on…. Even when you are tired of it all and you would rather go into hiding. God sees all that we do and all that we are. He heals our hurts and gives us strength.
